We respond within 2 business days with a proposed associate match, an indicative rate (typically R1,500–R3,500 per hour depending on associate seniority), session format (online via Teams/Meet, or face-to-face if you’re in Gauteng), and the first available slots. You confirm or ask for an alternative match. Booking is per session.

We do not promise jobs, hires, offers, or salary outcomes — those depend on factors outside any consultant’s control. How much does a 1:1 cost?
Indicative range: R1,500–R3,500 per hour, set per associate per engagement. Senior tier (senior De Vlamingh associates) lands at the top of the range. Mid-tier (recent retirees) lands at the bottom. Exact rate confirmed in your application response.
What’s the difference between booking a 1:1 and joining the Sprint?
The Sprint is an intensive career programme (guided cohort sessions, AI-generated analysis, personal positioning document) at R1,499 founding. The 1:1 is per-session senior consulting time, billed per hour. They’re different products serving different needs. Many clients do both: they join the Sprint and book a single 1:1 to interpret the Career Report results.
Can I book a 1:1 without joining the Sprint?
Yes. The 1:1 service stands alone — you can apply for a session without joining the Sprint. The associate will typically ask you to complete the free Career Report before the first session so they have a baseline capability profile to work from. Sprint access isn’t required.
Online or face-to-face?
Both available. Online via Microsoft Teams, Google Meet or Zoom — your choice. Face-to-face available for Gauteng-based clients with associates who offer it. Most consulting time is delivered online.
How quickly can I get a session?
Typical lead time from application to first session: 5–15 working days, depending on associate match and your scheduling availability. Senior-tier associates run multi-week waitlists; mid-tier availability is usually faster.
What if I’m not matched to a senior associate?
If you applied for senior-tier and the available associates don’t fit, we’ll tell you honestly and either offer a waitlist date for the senior you wanted or recommend a mid-tier associate whose practice matches your question. You decide; no obligation.
Is this regulated as therapy?
No. PositionMeAI Consultations is career consulting and capability work, not therapy. HPCSA-registered associates may bring psychological assessment frameworks to the conversation, but the engagement is not psychotherapy, counselling for mental-health treatment, or assessment for legal or HR purposes. If your situation needs those services, the associate will tell you and refer appropriately.
Refund policy?
Per-session billing means no refund question for completed sessions. If you book and need to cancel: full refund with 48 hours+ notice; 50% refund with 24–48 hours notice; no refund within 24 hours. Associates may waive in genuine emergencies.
